The Top 5 Ceremony Locations on North Stradbroke Island.

There's something really special about saying your I Do’s on North Stradbroke Island and with gorgeous views around every corner, it can be hard to narrow down your favourite ceremony locations to just one.

At the end of the day - there's no wrong choice. Every location here carries its own energy, its own magic and the right one is simply the one that feels like you. To help you start narrowing it down, here are five of our favourite ceremony spots on the island, each one offering something a little different.

1. Point Lookout Surf Club.

Perched dramatically between South Gorge and Main Beach, the Point Lookout Surf Club is one of the island's most iconic settings. With its sweeping ocean views and deck, it's the kind of place where the backdrop does most of the talking.

What makes it special: The Surf Club gives you the best of both worlds, stunning coastal views with the comfort infrastructure of a set venue. It's wonderfully versatile, whether you're going relaxed-coastal or something a little more elevated, this space works with you.

Good to know: The Surf Club is only available for ceremonies if you're booking the venue for your reception too. So if you're dreaming of a ceremony with those big ocean views and a seamless transition into your celebration, this one ticks every box.

2. Home Beach West.

Home Beach West is one of the island's most loved stretches of sand — calm, wide, and breathtaking in that effortless Straddie way. This area of the beach feels nice and tucked away plus it gets much less foot traffic than most beaches on the island, meaning a more private ceremony.

What makes it special: There's an ease to Home Beach West that's hard to describe. It feels both grand and intimate at the same time. The open beach setting means incredible natural light, gorgeous airy photographs and that pure barefoot-in-the-sand feeling that so many couples dream about.

Good to know: As a public beach location, no venue booking is required but you will need a permit and there are some logistics to consider (which we’ll handle for you). With the right planning it pairs beautifully with any reception venue in Point Lookout.

3. Deadman's Reserve.

If you're after something with easy grassy access and the perfect ratio of greenery to magic coastal views - Deadman's Reserve might just be your place. Tucked in behind Deadman's Beach, this reserve has a beautiful wildness to it: dappled light through pandanus trees, the sound of the ocean nearby and a sense of total escape from the everyday.

What makes it special: Deadman's Reserve offers some shade, seclusion and a lush natural atmosphere for ceremonies — especially in the warmer months when an open beach can feel too exposed to the sun.

Good to know: This reserve naturally slopes down towards the beach so if symmetry is important to you uneven ground is something to keep in mind.

4. My Eden Cottages.

Nestled in a lush, private garden setting, My Eden Cottages is one of the island's hidden gems, and an absolutely dreamy spot for an intimate wedding. Think light filtering through the trees, plenty of shade and the feeling of a private sanctuary that's entirely your own for the day.

What makes it special: My Eden offers something the open beach and reserve locations simply can't — true privacy and enclosure. Surrounded by established gardens, it feels romantic and timeless. For couples who want their ceremony to feel intimate, lush, and a little bit otherworldly, this is a very special option.

Good to know: This location is only available as a ceremony setting if you book My Eden Cottages as your accommodation. So if you're considering staying on the island with a small group of loved ones anyway, this could be the most magical way to tie it all together.

5. Point Lookout Community Hall.

Set just behind Home Beach, the Point Lookout Community Hall might surprise you in the best possible way. With its beautiful surroundings, large deck and strategically placed stage, it's one of the most versatile ceremony spaces on the island.

What makes it special: The Community Hall is the perfect choice for couples who love the idea of ceremony surrounded by greenery rather than ocean views — a slightly different island aesthetic that's no less stunning. The yard in particular is a gorgeous ceremony space: private, surrounded by native trees and utterly charming. It's also the ideal choice if you're planning to have your reception here too, making for a completely seamless day with no transfers needed.

Good to know: This one suits couples who lean more toward a lush, botanical feel than a coastal one - Plus it offers wet weather protection if needed!

So — which one is right for you?

Here's the truth: all of them are beautiful. There's no hierarchy, no "best" option — only the one that resonates with how you want your day to feel.

Some couples know immediately, they picture themselves on the sand and everything just clicks. Others are surprised to find themselves falling for a grassy reserve or the lush seclusion of a garden wedding… And sometimes, it takes standing in a space to truly feel it.

That's what our Venue Finder Meeting is for. We'll walk you through your favourite options, ask the right questions and help you find the ceremony location that feels unmistakably, completely you.
