A bamboo event is like nothing else and will leave your guests in amazement as you enjoy an extravagant beach celebration.
We bring in a skilled bamboo constructionist to fabricate an exotic bamboo venue draped in a light floating fabric. Ideal on the beach under the stars with tiki torches, lots of candles and live music.

Point Lookout Community Hall
Backing onto gorgeous bushland the community hall is a fantastic venue to suit large events.
The polished bamboo floors and full-length glass bi-fold doors open out onto a large timber deck which overlooks a lovely grassy courtyard and outdoor stage. It offers a seamless indoor/ outdoor transition.The inside of the hall can be styled beautifully with the addition of draping, hanging and lighting features.
Installing lighting out across the lawn and adding casual furniture creates a wonderful space for you and your guests to relax and celebrate. The hall has two lovely areas that work wonderfully for wedding ceremonies if you would keep the festivities all in the one location.
Affectionately known to locals as the old “Masons”, the venue offers a fabulous indoor-outdoor area perfect for weddings, parties, retreats, corporate events and more.
It’s light, clean and spacious along with having a well-appointed kitchen, beautiful bamboo hardwood floors and fantastic outdoor grassy area.
The venue is managed by Stradbroke Island Events and is styled to have the ultimate wow factor. With features such as gorgeous glowing fairy lights across the lawn, lush greenery throughout, spectacular indoor lighting features, on-trend furniture and hanging décor.
The convenient location is across from Home Beach and is within close walking distance to accommodations and public transport.

The Marquee Experience
The marquee experience is by far the most magical and spectacular of all. Did you know that Straddie is one of few places that allow events literally right on the beach?
We have a range of marquee’s to suit all events from weddings and gala dinners to corporate events and birthday parties.
You get a custom built venue especially for your event in a gorgeous island location. We organise everything from the big things like lighting, furniture, catering and bathrooms, down to details like table decorations and flowers.

The Headland Room offers spectacular ocean views and can cater to weddings, parties and corporate events. With accommodation onsite also there’s no need to fuss around organizing transpot.

Point Lookout SLSC
Perched on the headland between South Gorge and Main Beach the view at the Point Lookout SLSC is hard to beat. This large venue offers two levels of relaxed spaces that can be totally transformed into a magical event venue.
Recently renovated the upstairs floor offers a licensed bar and large deck with panoramic views. Downstairs offers a large open space, which leads out on a newly renovated deck and grassed lawn.
September School Holidays through to the May long weekend the club season operates leaving only limited mid-week dates open for events.
Peak wedding season at this venue runs from May through to mid-September. These dates align with the migrations of humpback whales, which can be spotted easily from the lower and upper deck while enjoying your drink of choice.

The tipi is the perfect venue for a relaxed bohemian inspired celebration. We now have our very own tipi company located right here on the island that offers one authentic Kata Tipi. Suitable for all event types from weddings and parties to corporate celebrations.
Tipis are durable and versatile so can suit anywhere from a grassy headland or beach as well as a backyard. Some or all of the sides on the tipi can be lowered to protect against the elements.

Point Lookout Bowls Club
If you are looking for a simple low-key event venue mixed with a bit of fun then the Bowls Club is the place for you. It’s an inexpensive option for those who are on a tight budget. The room can be configured in any style. This venue is perfect for conferences, weddings, shows and meetings.
Our wedding suggestion- Start with a beach ceremony then guests go back to the bowls club post the ceremony for some drinks and barefoot bowls. While you and your wedding party have your location shots taken. Your MC gets your guests seated prior to your arrival into your private function room where you enjoy a meal together then dance the night away.
This hidden gem offers an experience that no other venue on the island can! Weddings, Birthday Parties, Reunions … this is a perfect location!
Situated amongst serene national park the club is surrounded by beautiful Aussie bush land.
Take your drinks down to the green and have a game of golf before the party starts. Yes … drinks and golf are allowed together – just watch out for the local kangaroos. All equipment is available for hire including buggies as well as putt putt for the rookies.
There are very few clubhouses with as sensational an outlook as this one. Its friendly, relaxed and has a great energy. Transport can be organised to get your guests to and from the event.

The spacious lawn provides the perfect spot for a marquee event. You’ll watch the sunset over the bay before dining on a delicious locally inspired menu. This venue is perfect for weddings, corporate events, reunions or special birthdays.
Want to come just for the day? No problem. This venue is located right next door to the Stradbroke Flyer Water Taxi terminal in Dunwich.

Offering amazing views down Main Beach this quirky retro property located at Point Lookout is perfect for small intimate gatherings looking for something a little different.
While it may not be 5 stars, the charm, location and laid back style will have you feeling right at home. The deck offers a unique location for a wedding ceremony or an afternoon of canapés with the gorgeous view as your backdrop.
This property is not suitable for people with mobility issues due to the amount of stairs.
